MA: Costume pathway 2007/2008 '' projection métamorphique et tridimensionelle de la silhouette féminine dans l'âge bio-mécanique terminal'' ‘’metamorphic and three-dimensional projection of the female silhouette into a terminal bio-mechanical space-age’’ Within the terrestrial evolution, the body, human, animal or vegetable, represents life, and its design in size, shape and colour is a visual definition of what it has been made for. The fashionable female silhouette line retraces social evolution and adaptation through history, while its multiple transformations have narrative qualities, able to place body and mind in different contexts of space and time. The body and its environment, from architecture to fashion and beyond, identifies humanity, which finds itself in a constant state of metamorphosis, evolving ever so quickly into a world dominated by the technology of industrial society, fundamentally more detrimental than beneficial to human happiness and survival.
